What is a sectional title?

Sectional title describes the separate ownership of a unit within a group-owned complex or development.

Are there monthly costs I need to pay after the property is registered in my name?

Members of sectional title schemes paying levies in excess of R2500.00 per month are required by law to pay a R40.00 monthly levy over to CSOS. The CSOS levy is included in the monthly levy that owners pay to their managing agent in return for the abovementioned functions.

What documents are required to buy a property in a company?

A close corporation certificate. A company certificate. A memorandum and articles of association. A resolution by the directors/members of the company or close corporation advising who may sign the home loan or pre-approval application for the purchase of the property.
